Yes , Negative RT – PCR test issued not more than before 72 hours is mandatory enter Maldives for tourism.
As per the latest rule by Maldives if the person has got both doses of vaccination and date of travel is 15 days ahead of date of 2nd  dose of vaccination then there is no need to COVID 19 test .
However with the introduction of second wave in India , again Covid test has been made compulsory for all irrespective of our vaccination status .

On 18th Feb 2021 Indian govt came up with the latest update that effective 23rd Feb 2021 if any international tourist is coming to India then self declaration is required to be filled on Air Suvidha portal and RT PCR test report is required to be uploaded on that. The RT-PCR negative test in English should be issued not more than 72 hours before departure from Maldives.

Conclusion – One has to get tested at resort Island only and is required to pay directly at resort for the test.

Water villa’s are built over the water and not on the beach or land . There are some resorts in Maldives in which water villa is built half on land and on water.
All other categories are structured on land 🙂

Half board package means inclusive of Breakfast and Dinner which will be served by Island resort

Full board package means inclusive of Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner which will be served by Island resort

All inclusive package generally means Breakfast , Lunch , Dinner and selected alcoholic drinks included by island resort.
Sometimes , there are few other activities that are included in the “All inclusive package” which needs to be verified by resort.

If one is staying in anIsland resort , then it will always be sea-boat/sea plane transfers which can’t be mismanaged .One should always plan these transfers before arrival.

As for Island resort it will always be sea transfers so timings do matter.
It is always recommended to arrive or depart in day time and not when it is dark around .

Most of the resorts has well-stocked and equipped clinic together with full time resident doctor. There are also hospital facilities in the capital city of Malé, 

ATMs are located at a few places on the capital island of Malé and also at the Airport departure area. These ATMs usually accept Visa and MasterCard cards. Please note that there are no ATM’s on the resort islands. 

As Maldives is on very high demand in 2021 , resorts have very rigid payment policy . They will demand the full payment at least 20-25 days before travel date .
Any company nor any individual will have any control over these payment policies of resorts.
Flights charges is required to be paid on full at the time of booking even if package is booked months before.
One should always be prepared about payment policy before finalising the deal .

Once you arrive at Male airport , after completing all necessary formalities you will have to reach to Island resorts counter . As per the survey there will be the waiting time of at-least 1:30 to 2 hours till you get your transfer facility .
Although it takes only 45-60 minutes to reach to any other island in speed boat.
Please note no company, agency or individual can give you confirmation on getting early transfer facilities as it only works on first in first out basis .

Sea plane might give you a different experience if you are opting for it . It is not required, recommended and sometimes does not operate for a resort you are seeking .
Where speed boats gets allotted to travellers within 2-3 hours of landing at Male airport , sea plane takes minimum 4-5 hours to get allotted .
