Al Shaqab, a Qatar Foundation member since 2004, is Qatar’s cutting-edge equestrian centre, which dates back to 1992. The UNESCO-listed ‘Inland Sea,’ or Khor Al Adaid, sits to the south of the city and is one of the few spots in the world where the sea meets the desert. The mangroves of Al Thakira, located just north of the beach city of Al Khor, provide a huge area of natural vegetation. Katara Cultural Village is Doha’s cultural and entertainment attraction, combining art galleries and workshops, theatres and performance venues, and outstanding culinary options. The busy Souq Waqif complex is without a doubt one of the greatest sites to visit in Qatar, and it is the ideal mix of Qatari culture.
