Portugal tour from India
Why we decided to visit Portugal
Well, our family usually travels every year to an international destination in a group. We have almost visited all Asian tourist destinations as well as most of the countries in Europe. Our past experience has taught us that every destination deserves the same respect. Then we started discussing destinations, and we were confused between Denmark and Portugal. Comparing both and our interests, we voted and decided on Portugal for 2024.
If you look at itineraries online, Portugal is often combined with other European destinations. Initially, we considered creating a multi-destination itinerary for this trip, but we decided instead to explore Portugal fully rather than just halfway.
Our Planning for Portugal tour from India
The next step was to start planning for the Portugal tour from India. We started looking for the travel agencies that can help us organize the tour. We were not convinced, though. Most of the travel agencies in Mangalore or even in Bangalore had good knowledge of Portugal as a part of the Europe tour, but when you go in deep and ask them about it, they won’t reply to you with confidence. I don’t want to mention the names of those travel agencies; however, it is the truth.
But till now, we were sure that we would be doing the Portugal tour only this year.
Why we chose Lestacworld.com for Finland tour from India
We soon realized that we would have to dig in and start preparing our itinerary on our own. We even thought of booking the tours, hotel and transfers on our own. However, one day one of my cousin’s friends referred us to Lestacworld.com. We visited Lestacworld’s website and saw that they are powered by the local Portugal tour company, that is portuguesetour.pt. We sent our tour details on their website and waited for them to connect us.
I received the call from Rahul the next day and we had a brief discussion about the itinerary. It was the first time we met someone who had in-depth knowledge about Portugal. He was literally good. He knew not even about Lisbon but also about Perto, Algarve or Coimbra. I asked Rahul for the itinerary and we got that with the availability of hotels and cost within 4 hours of time. Though he didn’t include international flights, we were ok with that.
This was the point, where we decided that we would go with Lestacworld for our Portugal tour.

Our Portugal tour Experience
Today, after visiting Portugal, I am in a position to tell about the destination and our experience. Our family trip to Portugal was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had. As a group of 10 family members, all vegetarians, we were a little worried about food and travel, but Portugal surprised us in the best way possible. From the moment we landed in Lisbon, everything felt smooth and welcoming. Our driver greeted us with a smile, and the first thing we noticed was how clean and organized everything was. The roads were wide, the air was fresh, and the city had a mix of old-world charm and modern energy.
Our hotel in Lisbon, TURIM Avenida Liberdade, was centrally located, making it easy for us to explore. The rooms were spacious, and the staff was very friendly, always ready to assist. Lisbon itself had a charm that was hard to describeāthe yellow trams, cobbled streets, and beautiful viewpoints made every walk feel like a scene from a movie. The people were polite, and although not everyone spoke English fluently, they always tried their best to help.
As we moved from city to city, the transportation was smooth. The long drives were comfortable, and the views were stunningārolling green hills, charming villages, and endless vineyards. Sintra and Cascais were like something out of a fairy tale, with castles and stunning coastal views. Evora, on the other hand, had a quiet, historical feel, and the Chapel of Bones was a unique experience.
The Algarve region was a highlight for all of us. The beaches were absolutely breathtaking, with golden cliffs and crystal-clear waters. Staying at Vila Gale Lagos, a beachfront hotel, was a dream come true. Watching the sunset from the shore was a moment we will never forget. Porto was equally magical, with its colorful buildings and the Douro River cruise, where we got to see the beautiful vineyards stretching endlessly on both sides.
Being vegetarians, food was a concern for us, but we were pleasantly surprised. While we did have to search a bit at times, we found some great restaurants that served fresh bread, cheese, salads, and even Indian cuisine in certain areas. The Portuguese custard tarts, pastƩis de nata, became our favorite dessert, even though they had egg. People were very accommodating when we asked for vegetarian options, and we never felt like we were struggling for food.
What stood out the most was the warm hospitality of the Portuguese people. Everywhere we went, we felt welcomed, whether it was the hotel staff, our guides, or even the locals at small cafes. The entire trip was a perfect mix of history, nature, and relaxation. We left Portugal with beautiful memories, grateful for the experiences we shared as a family. It was truly a trip to remember!
Review of Lestacworld for our Portugal tour from India
You know what I believe: if you are visiting any part of Europe, more important is the planning instead of the implementation. Europe, or if I say Portugal, is already so professional in tourism, that implementation is never a problem if the planning is good. We all 10 travelers would like to say special thanks to Rahul for planning our itinerary to Finland.
Nothing to take away from the local team; they did an exceptional job. It was flawless and trust me, we never gave a single call or message for any issues while on tour. There were no issues at all. We were also very well explained about the tour before our travel. Rahul and we had multiple calls, explaining the itineraries, inclusions and exclusions.
We would like to give 5 out of 5 stars to Lestacworld for organizing us the best Portual tour from India.
Can i get in touch ? We are also planning for Portugal tour.
