Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival at Leh, Altitude:- 3500 m/11,500 ft

As this trek will be officially done in winters so most probably you will have to fly to reach to Leh.
You will reach at Leh and shall be curious about your Stok Kangri Trek Laddakh and must be.

Day 2 Adopt and settle with the climatic condition of Leh

Have indulge in breakfast and get yourself adjusted with this beautiful terrian.
Enjoy untangling the very famous monasteries around Leh like Shey and Thiksey.
Night to be spend in the hotel

Day 3 -Drive to Stok Village (11800 ft.) and Trek to Chang Ma (13087 ft)

This day starts with a ride to Stok village. At the start of the ride from Leh, we would go through many amazing and astonishing scenes.
It is the day when you trek to Chang Ma. This can be an uneasy trek and one may experience the joy of a snow trek.

Day 4 -Chang Ma (13087 ft.) to Mankorma (14200 ft.)

With three good days spent on acclimatisation, on day 4 and 5 you set off to Stok Kangri trekking.
The whole trek proceeds between the infertile grey landscape of Ladakh.

Day 5 Mankorma (14200 ft.) to Base camp (16300 ft.)

In the day time, one can explore in the upper areas of the campsite and enjoy the views of the terrain. There are some amazing spires like Gulap Kangri, Parcha Kangri and many others.

Day 6 Acclimatization + training day

One needs proper training and experience to move around the mountains. There can be moment where you have to trek in the sinking snow. In the situation You would find your legs submerged up to your knees. So it is required that you should know the conditions.

Day 7 Base camp (16300 ft.) to Stok Kangri (20180 ft.) back to base camp

It will be a long climb, so you shall be physically & psychologically strong and prepared. It might take 9 to 10 hours for normal climbers. New & Unfit climbers may take another 2 to 3 hours in addition.

Day 8 Base camp to Stok Village and drive to Leh

It will be the conclusive day of your amazing trekking journye. The trek includes high altitude trekking mountaineering will be ending today .

Day 9 Departure from Leh

Yes you will have to end your expedition here after an awesome journey of Stoke Kangri trek

What are the things that should be carried for trek ?

Shirts / T-shirts –2/3, Jeans / Trekking Pants -2
Windproof jacket of decent quality (no flimsy wind cheaters please!) preferably with a hood
Warm and thick Fleece / Full-sleeve Woollensweater
Thermal inner wear (upper & lower),Scarf/muffler (optional)
Woollen cap, Woollen gloves, Woollen socks & regular socks (3-4 pairs)
Comfortable Trekking/Hiking shoes (shoes with a thick sole are recommended)

What is the Cancellation Policy of trek ?

If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.

Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.

What is the Refund Policy of trek ?

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days

Booking Confirmation Policy ?

The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 12 hours of successful booking
In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.
Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.

What is the best time to do Stoke Kangri treks ?

The winter in Ladakh is very very cold if you are not much familiar with winters. From Jan to March the temperature is likely to be warm but there will be cool air breezing. Jan is the chillest period in Leh .In March the days start to get hot and the temperature remains at around 8°C. Morning, evenings after 6 and nights are extremely cold. Daytime temperatures in Leh, and on trek should remain between –25°C to +6°C. Night-time temperature can come down to -10°C to – 25°C.
