Jordan to the Kingdom, founded by King Abdullah I after World War I. It was ruled by his grandson, the late King Hussein, for 46 years until he died in 1999 when his son King Abdullah II assumed the throne. Jordan has grown into a modern nation that has enjoyed a remarkable measure of peace, stability and economic growth in recent decades. While Petra is indeed one of the most stunning attractions in the Middle East, Jordan offers so much more for the modern traveller.

The Dead Sea is the lowest spot on earth’s surface—the shores of the Dead Sea sit 1,388 feet (423 meters) below sea level. This level makes it possible for a number of other Dead Sea wonders—the sea’s waters maintain nearly 34% salinity and the River Jordan dead-ends into the Dead Sea, with river water evaporating and leaving behind vast beds of salt and minerals.

After our visit, We later proceed for a 90 minutes drive to Wadi Rum! We arrive to the for a Bedouin specialty dinner: ZARB. What’s that you may ask? Well, it’s a mix of meat like lamb and chicken, rice, potatoes and carrots, placed in a hole in the ground, which is filled with flaming coals. The hole is then covered, and after a few hours, the meat and rice are all smoked, steamed, and grilled, all at the same time! After dinner, you can enjoy a night of stargazing since there is no light pollution in the area. Overnight in your camp in Wadi Rum.
