In 1975, a Buddhist monk called Jumnean Seelasettho selected these caverns as a place for his meditation, marking the beginning of the history of the Tiger Cave Temple Krabi. The tiger paw prints that may be seen within the caverns gave rise to the moniker “Tiger Cave Temple Thailand.”
